Not always dreams are always made as we want. It happens that all cards are confused by a harsh reality. However, sometimes this is precisely what helps us make the right choice and to refuse in time for what is not suitable for us.
“More recently, I thought that for the sake of a dream to become a screenwriter, I am capable of everything. Combine studying at a film school with work in the office and family, rewrite the script 27 times, raising meekness for editorial editing, is all difficult, but possible. And now they called me to the casting in the “scenario room” of the series, which beat all the ratings.
The project was so successful that the creators wrote the second season. The producer of the series sent me a task: to think about a pair of comedy situations for six characters. I was preparing as if it were my most important exam in life! And here I am at the Mosfilm, where Eisenstein, Pudovkin, Kuleshov, Rom, Aleksandrov once worked … my lips were dry, I feel pleasant excitement and live every step, because this is the road to the new world that attracts me so much.
I open the door to the pavilion. There are ten people at the table (the director and co -authors of the main screenwriter), I greet – no one pays attention, I ask where to
sit down – silence again. On the table is a three -liter bottle of whiskey, candy candy wrappers and oranges skins. Almost everyone smokes, the windows are closed tightly. I find a place myself, take a glass of water, open a laptop with notes on heroes, wait for a discussion of ideas.
The director poles stories about actresses, not embarrassed in expressions such as “this fat and old”, throws the ideas of possible storylines. Drinks. The scriptwriter writes to him in a laptop, periodically turning to him “my ingenious”. All this did not shock me. Already at the stage of development of ideas for the series, it became clear that they love a provocation here. We were not taught in the film school, but when reality coincided with study?
There was a second hour of meeting, not a hint of a construct, on the contrary, a party was planned. My eyes began to be watery from tobacco smoke … When an offer arose to everyone to go to the country to the director, I was going home. And here they paid attention to me ..
– And where are you? We haven’t finished yet?
– And everything is already clear.
She left with ease. The producer sent a message, they say, I “profiled my chance”, I had to stay, to endure (!) and get your first order. I did not answer. I understand that this is not my movie, not my team, of all the possible doors on Mosfilm, I definitely got there. It turned out that for the sake of a dream I am far from all ready, and this feeling of the opportunity to choose “mine is not mine” gives incredible power ”.
